Candy Dish? Yes or No?

Lately, I'm into some kind of old fashioned and pretty inexpensive "creature comforts" including stocking my grandmother's beautiful old glass candy dish with some sweet treats, individually wrapped, of course. My favorite are the Red Bird candy puffs - they come in peppermint and assorted fruit fla...

Re: A gift for your future self

I've heard this called "doing something you will thank yourself for later." For me this mostly involves bulk cooking - it saves me so much time and money in the long run. Re: Daily Check In July 18, 2021

Greetings and good morning! Woke up early to heavy rain and now the sun is out. It is considerably cooler today - a welcome relief from the intense heat we have been having. I have had a "spa morning" - facial, deep conditioning my hair, doing my nails, etc. Like Janet, I will be doing some cooking ...

Re: Biggest Leak in Your Budget?

Sheila, My Dd that lives in my other house (dads) is the same way! My electric bill runs about 1/2 of hers and she is at work all day! I am home and usually have either the TV or music on. She also leaves her AC turned low for the "comfort" of her dog and cats..... JCKitty JCKitty, I can't s...
