Re: Sandi's 2019: Wow This Is A Challenge!

Sandi sorry you had such a horrible thing said to you as child.. you are right about saying things just not to children. You cannot take it back and some people carry the hurt forever. Enjoy your furniture. You have earned it I am sure. If your back is that bad you should do all you can to keep it ...

Re: Sandi's 2019: Wow This Is A Challenge!

I've lost count. Which is fine because we bought furniture and while that may have been a one-time on one day purchase, I feel like I've impacted the whole month - nay, the whole QUARTER. Lasted about 10 years and stayed nice. I gave it to a friend to sell at a yard sale she was having to save her hous...

Re: Are you buying life insurance and why?

I have it in case I die and DH needs a boost to carry him over 'til the kids move out. DH has it in case he dies and I need (way more than...) a little boost to tie me over 'til the kids move out. Weirdly my Dad bought some to cover both kids. They've each been covered since birth, it's not a term p...

Do you buy furniture to last decades?

When buying furniture, do you buy it to last a reeeally long time, or do you buy it believing that in 10 years your tastes will have changed? My bedroom furniture was purchased unfinished in 1992 from a place that did 100% real wood (predominantly white oak) furniture that you could finish yourself ...
