Help - Suggestions for ironing my quilt top

Post by mbrudnic » Sun Nov 27, 2016 9:57 am

Hi Folks,

Below is a picture of a quilt top I have been working on for forever. IN the picture it is folded into quarters. It is 82x88 inches. I do not have an ironing board right now. I have an insulated ironing cover for the cutting table I was going to being but discovered it was missing a piece. So would you iron the dang thin on the floor? Or put the ironing cover on my card table and iron? I am rather intimidated by this task.

Part of me would like to finish this and give it to DS2 as one of his gifts.

I googled and some suggestions are to use a towel on the counter or on a board. I guess I would rather ruin a towel (replaceable for a few $$$) than something more expensive.

That design is really nice, appropriate for a male gift.
