Not fancy, but I had most of an onion and 3 stalks of celery, some GF bread, and various cheese, all of which needed to be used... tomatoes were in stock. Rather than freeze the veggies for soup later...

We have salad stuff too so I'll probably have soup and a salad instead of a sandwich, I'm not much of a carb person. Bread = universal symbol for NO, LOL.
Sandi I am gluten free and have been looking fora good recipe for tomato soup to go with my gf grilled cheese sandwiches. Is there a chance you can find the time to post your tomato bisque recipe? Sending me to a site for the recipe would be ok since I know writing out recipes can be time consuming. Janet Alliesmama

I have no other hobbies ;)

Posted it in the recipes folder. Added a bunch of notes, it's pretty versatile because it's blended. I even put a lone organic carrot in it once, no one noticed beyond 'is this a little sweet?" I told him to eat his vegetables & not ask questions. :D

We've had several clean-out-the fridge dinners lately
Some of our leftovers concoctions have been interesting. DH mixed leftover taco meat into jarred pasta sauce and served it over spaghetti. (We thought it tasted a bit like Cincinnati chili). The leftover taco pasta sauce was served over baked potatoes for lunch ...
Grabbed a cake mix (bought on markdown) and baked that for desserts this week.

Tonight, I'm using leftover ham to make some ham/corn chowder. Have a bit of leftover corn that I'll throw in, too.
