Upping the Exercise Challenge

Starting next year (well hopefully) I plan to challenge myself to walk more, and add some other exercises to the daily routine.

I plan on starting with 30 minutes of walking, 15 mins of weights, and 15 mins of stretches (yoga) a day. Then each month increase the number of minutes by at least 5. Should jumpstart a bit of weight loss as well.

I will keep track of my progress here.

Just found out this morning if you have the “silver sneakers” option through your healthcare they have an internet program with various classes to RSVP for.
Obviously, internet is needed.

Wish we had something like Silver Sneakers up here.

Not doing the best on this challenge. I just do not seem motivated right now. I need to get up and get moving.

I am managing to get the steps in and the stretching. Now I need to bring up those lighter weights and add in a bit of weight work. Nothing too strenuous, but hopefully I can tighten a few areas.

Not doing the best on this challenge. Part of the problem was the weather and the fact I hate using the treadmill.

Another problem is while I love hiking and walking....not so much strength or Pilates. Must get into those areas, but am not looking forward to doing so.
