So yesterday was a no spend, stay at home day. I did go for a very short walk, just for some fresh air.

Used up some packets of stew flavouring in the stew I made in the slow cooker. I have enough for another meal for the two of us in the fridge, and a second container is residing in the chest freezer.

Today I am using up a package of frozen cooked ham, about half the asparagus that is in the crisper, and along with mashed potatoes and the remains of the salad that will be our supper.

I finished off the leftover soup yesterday. So all that is left is the Chicken a la King. I will probably have that for lunch tomorrow.

Keeping up with what is in the fridge for sure this week.

Trying very hard to stay away from using the oven and so far that seems to be working.

I am hopeful that this tank of gas in my vehicle will last until just before I have to go for my visit to the specialist next month. I have over a half tank and if I am very careful that should work out. Combining errands and trying to limit my driving to one day a week.

I packed the small bits left from the quilt to be used in other projects. I also found a fairly large piece of knit fabric in with the first dress I made so I have put that aside to use in a project if possible.

Planning out what I am going to purchase so I have a years supply. That seems to be coming along. These will be things that don't have an expiration date. I will be checking fliers constantly to see what I can pick up on my shopping trips.

Keep up the good work, Jackie. Your stockpile of household and personal items is a good idea. My favorite shampoo was about $4 before the pandemic and is now $9! I still have half a bottle and then will look for a different shampoo instead of paying $9.

I am remembering more and more to turn off lights in rooms not in use and Hubby is finally starting to remember to do so as well.

It wasn't sunny today so I needed a few lights on as well. But it is what it is.

I finished a tube of toothpaste, and a tube of hand cream. I remembered to cut them open to get the last dregs of each. Hubby tossed his toothpaste before I could remind him.

As I clear out more room in the upright freezer I noticed that we are out of pork chops. I will be looking for a good sale on those in the coming weeks. Even the chest freezer is getting a bit lower each week, even though I add things to it.

This week we should be finished the Christmas baking and I will be able to make a few items like muffins and loaves, perhaps even a coffee cake. May as well fill the oven if I am going to use it.

Another no spend day, also no drive for me. Hubby did take the truck to search out some puzzle glue and foam board. He loves the Kodak puzzle he did so much he wants to get it ready for framing and hanging on his man cave walls. It is very nice, lots of colour in all the balloons that are in it. I may have to try and find another Kodak puzzle for him for next year.

Decided to use up the bread instead of making biscuits. Homemade bread does not last as long as bought bread and I hate to waste so this meal should see it all used and I can make a new one tomorrow with a clear conscious.

Finished the top today and posted pictures of my clothing creations on my blog. I do have to put things (clothes away).

Hubby tore a pair of pj bottoms badly (right through the fabric not just the seam). Since these are about 6 years old and I have mended them many times, I will be taking them apart and making some new rags.

Soup and sandwiches tonight. The soup is a couple of cans from the pantry that were just over their best by dates. I have a couple more that are about the same and so will be using those up as well soon. I don't like going too far beyond that date even though I know I could.

Worked on clearing more snow and will do some more tomorrow.

Tidied and straightened most of the cupboards. Just one left. I will more than likely find lots of empty containers that can either be filled from larger containers or tossed.

Made my loaf of bread and did so in the bread machine. I have been looking at hotplates online as well as griddles. I really don't want more appliances but they could be energy saving and cost efficient in the long run. I need to think on this a bit more. I also need the room to store them as well which could be difficult if we move to a smaller place in a few years.
