Another month of getting more bang for my buck. Anyone care to join in?

Hmm, over the past day I have used up the leftover turkey, a can of mushrooms, and a couple of onions. I am hoping for a few recycling projects this month.

I had leftover quinoa. It wound up in muffins (1/2 a cup in place of another dry ingredient, worked better than I'd dared to hope), in stirfry, and chili (along with the tvp, extra protein for the win!), and in soup.

Yeah... it was a mixup when I asked DD to make quinoa, she asked for the ratio, what I said and what she heard were not the same. LOTS of quinoa. :o

But it wasn't wasted, yay! And I'll definitely do the muffin thing again.

Yesterday we used up the leftover pork casserole for supper.

I cut some buttons off of a couple of shirts and added them to the button jar. The fabric of said shirts was recycled into quilting squares...Perhaps they will be made into a Christmas quilt.
