I have only one planned project for 2018 so far.

It is to complete a thorough clean up of my home. I plan to do it very methodically and slowly. This stems from renouvations that were undertaken in my condo building, a 12 floor high rise. The project took 3 months from start to finish. At first I tried to keep on top of cleaning up the dust but it was impossible so I just did some surface cleanup and let the rest go. Because of the air exchange from hall to my apartment, the dust seeped in. Then preparations for the holiday season came along and I neglected cleanup, so now it's the new year again and I'm planning to get started. I'm looking at it as an early 'spring cleaning'. I'm not setting a deadline for finish; I'm thinking it will take a couple months to complete.

I don't mind cleaning at all and this will become an opportunity to examine everything and declutter.

Wish me fun doing it. LOL!

I am about ready to set my goals for 2018. My goals are more like hopes. I don't expect to get them all done, but I like having them to look forward to.

Spring:

1) Get front door installed.
2) order new front picture window. Probably summer before it gets in.
3) Make rustic window swag bars and swags for bedrooms.
4) Paint porch
5) repair awning
6) make window for south end of porch

Summer:

1) Plant more hedges along south fence
2) Organize tool room
3) set up and use porch cooking area.
4) complete spring goals

Fall:
1) build patio area on the south side of house.
2) paint door.

Winter:
1) put plastic over porch screen windows to extend outdoor time.

So we figure on actually getting the basement finished this year. Most of you remember that this is a carry over project. Sure will be nice to be completed.

Adding to the projects.

Putting sliding windows into the old part of the basement.

Pulling up the brick under the deck in front and putting a slab of cement down.

Insulating the old part of the basement.

I am sure more will be added as items are crossed off.
