Hung a few pictures, looking for a nice way to display some more, very hesitant to put holes in any walls on my own, especially big ones.
Totally BORED for no specific reason. Its not like I don't have things to do. I can't say I 'want' to do them, but, needs must.
Foot still hurts. The podiatrist DH and DD both saw for some foot issues (she inherited his problem) retired. There's a new guy in his spot, but...
Its a weird 'I can't find even a potential diagnosis on the internet' thing.
Its hard to trust doctors these days. I had an MRI once that was totally unnecessary, a orthopedic doc ordered it for a weird issue. Then I was in the office of another orthopedic guy, the specialist of specialists, LOL, during exH's post-surgical checkup and he said "Anything else I can do for you?" and I thought... you never know 'til you ask.
So I showed him my leg. He mashed on the 'thing' and said "Hurts, doesn't it?" (I was hanging from the ceiling in pain and nodded) "Don't worry about it, it'll go away in a month or two."
So I cancelled all my follow up with the other guy (my insurance co was different than exH's), the one who'd done x-rays, soft tissue x-rays, MRI, and was talking EXPLORATORY SURGERY... and in about 6 weeks the thing was gone. Still no idea what it was but the whole thing made me SO wary of doctors. How, really, are you supposed to know how much is necessary, how much is their case of CYA, and how much is just profit seeking? He wasn't new to his trade, they were about the same age.
It was the days before Google, WebMD, all that.
Ah... specialist of specialists still consults in that group he practiced with. I bet they have a foot guy.

Sandi when my Mom was in Germany she had a spontaneous detachment from a tendon in her foot.. No injury..She was put in a walking cast and when she got back to the states the Dr here said there was nothing that could be done since so much time has passed and she eventually had no pain.. Wonder if you had a similar problem? Janet alliesmamaSandiSAHM wrote: ↑Thu Aug 16, 2018 12:09 pm 5 of 16 31.25%

You know, that sounds reeeeally painful, like a level 9 or 10 pain. Mine ranges from 3 to 8.5 depending on what I've been doing and whether or not I've worn shoes on any given day.alliesmama4 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 16, 2018 12:15 pmSandi when my Mom was in Germany she had a spontaneous detachment from a tendon in her foot.. Its started doing something new, a pins-and-needles thing on the top where it's swollen.
I know that after weeks of this it isn't just going to go away I'm going to have to schlep myself to someone smart and see whats going on.
I'm not getting in another MRI machine though. NOPE.

5 for 17. 29.4%
In other news... the gutters are up, and they look good.
Rain barrel came via FedEx half an hour AFTER the gutters went up. I'm not dragging it out, with my luck I'd drop it on my foot, DH can deal with it when he gets home. Not going to rain today anyway. Yesterday we had a total deluge. It was amazing. Very rare this year for us.

6 for 20... 30%
Which when you look at it the other way around - 70% of the days, I spend something
Bleh.
Today it was groceries and some things for DD's room. $ wise, about 67% necessities & the rest 'wants' - but the kid doesn't ask for much and she's a sweetie.
