No one told me...
I love my kids. They cook (which is awesome) and when they cook, sometimes they'll get down to the last teaspoon of something and not even think about mentioning that we're down to just that teaspoon. Of baking powder. Or cornstarch.
And while I *usually* have spares, if they happen to have gotten that already started without saying something like 'Mom, I took a new Rumsford out of storage and put it in the pantry...'
I end up at Walmart in the baking aisle. Saw an amazing wreck, nearly a head-on collision, coming out of the WM. Neither one of them even slowed down, both those cars are going to be salvage yard fodder, but only the back ends. Airbags for the win, the firemen weren't moving the people out of the vehicles but did have the doors open and were talking to them and there didn't seem to be any blood or anything and the people were conscious and talking. Had they been older cars that might not have worked out so well.

DH is out of town, can you tell?
And I had to just put all my errands in one batch because as it turns out, work takes time. Probably less time, later, when I have more of a clue, but for now whenever bossman uses words like 'manager' and 'full time' I use words like 'table that' and 'I'm just a contractor, I CAN'T manage, it's in my contract - the one you sent me, that says I'm no one's manager'
I never want to manage people again as long as I live. I might assist their manager, but I will never willingly be in charge of people. Well, my kids, but that's a whole other thing
Though some of my specialists were much better at taking direction than my kids... You can't fire children. Even when the vacuum cleaner is smack in the middle of the living room for no apparent reason, like right now.
