Sunday

Big thing today is signing a house paint contract. I am going with a woman owned business. She has a good reputation as well. Sign the contract today and then paint next weekend hopefully. Clearly, this is a side business since it is painting on the weekend, but there are so many painters around, it is not a surprise.

This morning is my normal go to the store morning since traffic is usually light. But I don't have anything that I need. Today, we will start on the last 5 lb roll of ground beef. I usually can get 5 meals out of it. So one tonight, probably burgers and then the rest packaged up in patties in the freezer. I also have some chicken frozen, so I will be good for the week or more. Still, I hope for a good meat sale price in the next grocery store ad cycle. Simple, low carb meals for hubs.

Walk with hubs this morning. Then confrontation with him over his old shoes. The bottom is not attached completely anymore and I see a fall risk. He likes them, so we will battle. I will look out for a shoe store coupon as well. Risking a fall is not frugal.

He is doing more mumbling. I told him that he speaks clearly the first few words and then then volume goes to a whisper. I have been asking him to repeat, but all he does is yell the first words and then mumble the rest. And be annoyed. So I have decided to just stay silent unless he insists on a response.

Let me know what you consider top quality paint. I have been out of the loop for so long I do not have a clue what is good and what is not. Janet Alliesmama

We've used Baehr paint and have used very good results. If it says "washable" it is and the proof is in the fact that we've had big drooling dogs and I've had to wash "drool" off of painted surfaces.

Carleen thanks for the Tip. A while back I did have my spare bedroom painted and I used Baehr but as I said I have been out of the loop so long not sure what is good and what is not.. Janet Alliesmama

Janet, I agree with Carleen. I am using Behr paint. When I met with the painters who normally use Sherwin Williams, they said repainting in 5 years is normal. I said Behr is a 20 year guarantee, so I better not need it in 5 years. Otherwise, there will be words.

Monday

I called the endocrinologist office and asked what my last numbers were since the doc said my T3 was low. It was 57 and the range starts at 71. In my opinion, this reading should demand treatment, but he didn't intend to treat it. Low T3 makes a girl fat. :x Well, I am going to have my gp work with me. I expect to be treated. This low reading might explain my high cholesterol reading.

I generally like to have several stops when I go out. I will need to fill out a request for records at my gp office to send to the specialist office. But I can't think of any reason to go out right now.

I have stuff to do around here, organizing, putting away stuff and general decluttering.
