Ahh, yes a new year is quickly approaching. What new projects are you challenging yourself to complete during 2019?

Back with my list in a bit.

Our projects for this upcoming 2019 range from small to large.

1. New front door installed.

2. Windows installed in the back part of the basement.

3. Back cinderblock part of the basement insulated.

4. Replant the lilies in the perennial bed.

5. Remove all baseboard heaters in the addition.

6. Paint walls in hall and our bedroom.

7. Hopefully just touch up walls in remaining rooms that have baseboard heat.

8. Paint ceiling in living room, dining room, and kitchen.

9. Continue operation declutter.

10. Start Christmas gifts a bit earlier again so I don't feel as rushed.

11. Biggy for me is to find and cook two more meatless meals a month (hopefully bringing total to at least 10 no meat eating days, or perhaps I should say very little meat eating days as my soups always have a tiny bit of meat).

12. Stay within budget for the year.

I will more than likely have more to add to this list later.

My projects for 2019

1) outdoor kitchen. This is actually a complicated project.
Stage one: enclose south end of porch for cooking area. Needed due to high winds
Stage two: set up cooking area and storage.
Stage three: re-organize the porch for outdoor eating.

2) build a second storage area with overhang to protect the water filter system.

3) buy and plant trees

4) finish front patio

5) finish back patio

6) add fancy house "gingerbread" to the front of the house

7) paint various outbuildings

8) extend and develop gardens especially foundation planting.

9) buy or make curtains for the picture window, patio door and kitchen window

DGFlorida reminded me of at least one more project when she posted.

13. Make or buy curtains for basement library/bedroom.

14. Perhaps remove tree from side yard. If removed build a pergola type covering at end of deck.

Howdy, Everyone!!!

Wow - here we are embarking on another new year!! 2018 was a total bust as far as goals are concerned. The big walk-in closet sorting was started, stopped, and filled in with nonessentials. So that stays on the list for 2019.

The downstairs was started, stopped and abandoned. Again, that goes back on the list for 2019.

We're truly seeing a pattern here - not a good thing.

All in all, our house is in good shape but those sorting type things are a real buzz-kill. I'll probably be adding other things to the list but right now only the ones that REALLY bother me are on there.

Wishing everyone huge success with your goal-setting!!!
