Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
Re: Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
Used up most of the saved bed sheet from a quilting project and pj bottoms (sheet got to small to use on our bed) to make the curtains for the basement bedroom/library window. The small piece that was leftover is being donated.

Re: Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
I used up most of the fabric from one sheet I kept for the backing of one quilt.
Used up 1/2 of another sheet on the second back.
A whole (or pretty much whole) piece of batting was used up.

Re: Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
Used up some more batting on the quilts, as well as the remains of the old sheets from the quilts last month.
More 2" strips gone as well. I am using them for the binding on the quilts.

Re: Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
Yesterday I used up one colour of the 2" strips making the binding for the quilt. I even had to piece the shorter section in. Almost thought I didn't have enough, but scrapped by (just).
Now the remainder of the strips will be used to fashion binding for my next series of quilts. I need to rid myself of some of those 4" squares. I think the first one will be a denim quilt to take outside to use around the fire pit or to cuddle under on my new chair.

Re: Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
I need to get to cutting up old T-shirts. I have a sheet that I am thinking of making into a quilt backing. Thinking on that, but not real hard yet.
Re: Use up the Fabric Stash Challenge
Just remember when making a T-shirt quilt you need some stiffer backing on those. Iron on stabilizer or heavy interfacing would work.
