I LOVE when I can cook once and have enough for another day or two.

Stretching out the spaghetti and meat sauce into 3 full meals for Hubby and I. I may freeze the third meal as I feel Hubby may tire of eating the same thing for an extended period. Still it will be another meal when I don't feel like cooking.

Making scrap fabric go just a bit further as well by cutting it up into usable squares for quilting and strips for making a rug.

It's wonderful, isn't it? I LOVE walking in the door after work and knowing I have a good meal just waiting to be reheated!

Stretched about 1 1/2 cups diced ham into two meals for Hubby and I.

I mentioned at Prayer Shawl ministry what I was doing with the old t-shirts and one of the ladies is going to bring me some she wants to get rid of. Perhaps there will be enough yet to get started on this rug even get it finished. This is more of a summer project though as I want to work on it outside just in case there is a lot of fuzz released from the fabric.

Not really sure how many no spend days there has been. The days have surely gotten away from me. In making a good guess however I would say that that out of the 16 days this month I have spent on 5 days and the other 11 have been no spend. Not as good as I want, but by sticking to lists, and combining errands better than I thought. I do hope the rest of the month is better.

Pulled out a bag of frozen turkey (pretty sure there isn't much left from Christmas now) and made Turkey a la King for supper. There is enough left for one of us to have it for lunch.

There is even enough left in the bag to make a couple of sandwiches and give Shania her nightly treat for awhile. I may make a turkey salad to stretch the meat out even further.

The roasted chicken has been eaten for one meal. A small bag put in the fridge for Hubby to have sandwiches with, two full bags are in the freezer, and the carcass has joined them in another bag. I will have to make bone broth very soon as I have a couple of chicken carcasses and a couple of turkey carcasses in the freezer downstairs.

I finished taking apart the knit sweater from years back and have washed the yarn. Today I roll it into cakes or balls and it will be ready to use in another project at some point. It is a pretty light yarn so I think a summer tank is in order.

As far as no spend days this month I have reached 15 no spend days including today. I am at 50% and hope to get that higher.
