I had a busy morning, I went over to H-E-B to get my shots. I got flu, RSV, and the new COVID vaccine.

I had an Apple, the last slice of Swiss cheese, with a few Trisket crackers.

I’m impressed - all three at once! You are tough, Penny. I’m glad that you were able to get the Covid shot, especially.

When I talked with the Publix Pharmacy on Sunday they said they had the Moderna Covid, but when I went online to make an appointment, it said “appointments coming soon.” Then yesterday the website said some Publix locations had it but not mine. Now today it is back to saying appointments coming soon for all locations. So the supply must be limited.

People with lower immune systems like you should get it first.

Penny, I hope you feel okay after all those immunizations. Although babies get multiple vaccines at once all the time, but they can't tell us how it feels.

I went to Aldi, which is at the far edge of my shopping range, and stocked up on bread, canned pumpkin, olives, cocoa and canned chicken. Then went to Food Lion and bought the specials, bought some discounted pork, and used a coupon for two dozen cage-free eggs. Jaunted up the street to Walgreens and got a free big package of paper towels with my reward bucks and picked up the RX that had been filled.

The freezer is stuffed, as is the pantry and baking cupboard. It's not a huge variety -- beef never seems to go on sale -- but it'll do.

Edited to fix spelling and note that DH and I have appointments for flu and Covid shots at Walgreens later this afternoon. He needs to ask about the RSV shot because of his heart, but I suspect his cardiologist will have to order it.

When you don’t drive, and need to take Taxis. It is easier to get them all at once.

Well guess the virus is back

My former classmate just posted that he tested positive for it and is now at home. He works at a military base at the city.

Ugh - when will this be over???

Guess I have to look into getting vaccinated.

The virus never left. It just keeps mutating. It unfortunately doesn't look like it will ever be over.

The virus never left.

It just left the news.

The country seems to have the attention span of a gnat.
