Not much is going on here today.

I have a dress wash in the dryer. I only have the one load of wash today. I will need to hang the dresses shortly.

For some reason I am tired today. I can’t seem to wake up this morning.

I emptied the dishwasher. I have used white vinegar to remove lime deposits from glasses and flatware.

My D##n MIL !!!!

So the story is..... she is 87, not in the best of health, but not the worse. She owns her older mobile home, but it is older and needs work. Right now it needs a new front porch, it is going to be $2,800.

Background, she has SS and a pension, more then enough for her expenses and savings. (I know her numbers)'

Also one of her son's and his girlfriend live there, they pay $500 a month. They have lived there for about 3 years.

Another son has lived there for over 20 years, he pays $200. a month.

So there should be plenty of money, but she gambles, between $1500 to $2000 a MONTH!!!! (Yes I know the numbers it is true)

So yesterday DH's sister FB'ed me that their mother had gone to the DR for something. (everything looks to be ok) So I told DH that he should call his mother and find out what is going on.

His mother was (I think) dry begging him about money, how she just doesn't have the $2,700 needed for the work, and what is she going to do. DH was so good he did not offer suggestions or offer money, but how DARE she put a guilt trip on him. !!!

So here is my B##thing!!! DH knows what is going on, but he still feels it, makes me so angry, he is the one with bad health problems, he does not need extra BS in his life!!!

Vent over.

Thank you for listening.

Great DH's medical just called they want to talk to him about his (non) diabetes management, his A1C is 8, not a good number his is furious. It couldn't be his ice cream for breakfast could it???

And no there is nothing that I can do to help him, everyone is an idiot except for him.

Darn that is a lot of money to be wasting.

I've gone to a casino twice - day trip from here to a place in a border town - Indian tribe owned.

Anyway, since we take a bus out there, what we pay for the ride is given back to us to play with - 25 dollars. And that is about all I spent each time besides lunch. Which was also very reasonable.

They are not making money off of me! Lol

You can easily go through a lot in a minute or so. We play the cheapest machines - 30 cents or so. LOL

I don't think i am going back. I went to see what the excitement was all about and to get away for the day.

IC my sympathies, your DMIL is indeed a cretin.

Give that money over your dead body.

Thanks for good wishes re Tom, guys,

I have realised, once I spelt it out to myself that I am heading towards depression re it  all, and I am BLOODY annoyed. You know when you actually THINK things through ?

Heres my number one thing ............all this stupid wrangling and its idiot timescale I going to ruin my enjoyment of my sons wedding.....and that is just not fair.

SO, this weekend we are going to DS and future DDIL and I am going to JUST BE.
Yet another piece of financial paperwork landed on me in the post this morning wanting my immediate attention and guess what ?

NO

This one wants an immediate run down of all DS s income and his outgoings. I and everyone else has NO IDEA what his new outgoings will be having been in limbo for months and I am damned if they are going to be making assessments based on Nuthin'. I know the response of " ask me again in June " will be But We Must Know for the new tax year in April ?

Tough Sue me, my shoulders are broad and I am DONE.

And BREATHE.

Frugally this weeks grocery bill is NIL. I spent 3 days on fluids only, we don't need food.

Spent £50 on an amazon gift card for DGS now aged 15 !!!! instead.

So far I have had 3 new pieces of clothing from work................as they watch me slim down so yay for FREE. The furniture I told you all about which I ma beyond thrilled with. The boys won't have a home furnished with junk they will have a stylish modern YOUNG mens home .

Offered extra hours at work which will be an extra £80 a month. Thanks, its in my lunch hour which suits me down to the ground.Or £160 if I want to go all out.

This would offset the Tom stuff or buy my lease car so MAYBE. After all I am that One Careful Owner  ( with a tendency to ride the clutch ;) ) DH is worse, he drives automatic.

Anyway , off to make hot chocolate and do a load of laundry.

DH always likes to work his way through a To DO list. I thought it was patronising him but no, he LOVES it. He did tons today and I came home late to stuffed turkey thigh, dry roasted potatoes and home grown corn.

But the laundry goes undone : ) I alone have those Mad Skillz.

Thnaks again for being a sounding board guys. The good ALWAYS outweighs the bad, I'm very lucky. Sometimes I just can't cope but that's life, neh ?

Good afternoon everyone,

Work-out day at the gym for dh and myself - glad it's over. Really was a bit of chore getting myself there today but I did alright. Before we had gone I had cleaned the ensuite bathroom. Dh is so pokey in getting ready - it was past 10:00 a.m. Good thing he's retired and not working anymore!

This afternoon we went to Canadian Tire to take advantage of their special promotion. Ended up with about a 30% discount on our total purchase and I was able to find a new pair of rainboots which I need to wear in the garden. I may start wearing them in the afternoon when going on a walk as the ice is melting, creating puddles. But they freeze again at night.

Came home and cleaned out my closet. Hopefully I can soon move some more spring like clothing over soon but honestly it's still too cold for me to be comfortable. Only getting a few degrees above freezing.

Aside from dinner preparation and clean up, won't be doing much else!

Update

Those predicted clouds and winds have set in. So glad we got everything done this morning. Hubby is still amazed at how high the prices are getting. Sometimes when I happen to glance at some items (meat mostly) I am a bit shocked as well.

I am getting a few sharp pains in my broken wrist. Sure hope it is just healing pains.

I have the leftover casserole out bringing it up to room temperature before I stick it in the oven to warm.

I will be off to the sewing/craft room to put patterns with the yarn I have packaged up. This getting together of various projects is helping me to see what I actually have. Saves me cash as well.
