We used Uber on our New York trip and it was fabulous for those who might be afraid of trying it. We would have paid double for a city cab, Uber was a great money saver and their app was amazing.
My friend from Alabama downloaded it on his phone. When we used it they would text him a picture of the driver with his name, the tag #, color and make of the car. He could track where the cab was moving on the streets to pick us up....really cool. No tipping is involved and everything can go right on a credit card you put into the system when you sign up. Very convenient.

I'm really too tired to think very coherently about lessons/tips learned from everyone on here, but I know they have been vast & varied!!!
Tonight after Dd7's baseball game, I picked 2 types of mint to brew tea for tomorrow's knitting group-- after I drained it, I added more water to see if I couldn't get another batch from the same stems & leaves.
