Great thread idea.

1. Stay out of the stores. This presents a lot of crazy bills from accumulating :)

2. Shop your closet. There's a lot of great stuff in there that I forgot about.

3. Use it up. The challenges on here have me in that mindset a lot more than I would be without them!

5. Mug cake. (see Erin's recipe on myfrugalhome.com-- it is the best I've tried)

The list is probably a lot longer but I am tired today.

So he has been shopping for pullover shirts.

Anyway, I thought of Penny and how she refashioned her tops when she had her shoulder surgery.

I bought some Velcro dots, and I'm going to try them with his shirts and if he likes them YEAH!!!

So thank you everyone. 8-)

What ideas have you taken from "us" here to make your life easier?

We used Uber on our New York trip and it was fabulous for those who might be afraid of trying it. We would have paid double for a city cab, Uber was a great money saver and their app was amazing.

My friend from Alabama downloaded it on his phone. When we used it they would text him a picture of the driver with his name, the tag #, color and make of the car. He could track where the cab was moving on the streets to pick us up....really cool. No tipping is involved and everything can go right on a credit card you put into the system when you sign up. Very convenient.

Does that mean you can't tip cash at all?

If he is having problems with his shoes a shoe shop can adapt them to Velcro strips.

I'm really too tired to think very coherently about lessons/tips learned from everyone on here, but I know they have been vast & varied!!!

Tonight after Dd7's baseball game, I picked 2 types of mint to brew tea for tomorrow's knitting group-- after I drained it, I added more water to see if I couldn't get another batch from the same stems & leaves.
