Hi Everyone,

Mackie’ it’s raining here, but don’t know which way the rain is headed. More than likely it’s headed your way as you and I seem to have rain on the same days. This has been one of the wettest summers that I can remember since moving back to the South.

I did not go to church this morning because of the rain. Since breaking my arm I avoid slick surfaces that involve my feet as much as I can. My church is still looking at designating a seniors parking lot close to the church, but it hasn’t happened yet. We have to walk entirely to far to get into the church in my opinion.

This is my goof off day, but I have done a little work. I have started organizing the outfits that I plan on taking with me on my trips. Seems if I will do this I tend to carry less rather than waiting until the last minute to pack. I do plan to take a smaller suitcase to use for the two overnight stays in hotels, that way I don’t have to take the larger one inside for a one night stay.

Mr. B’s daughter didn’t take my coming to his home a few days before our trip very well, but he’s dealing with it as there is nothing that I can do about it. She really wants me out of his life, but she hasn’t figured out how to accomplish that yet. She has stopped short of telling him that he CAN”T see me, but she has tried every other way she knows to plant seeds of doubt in his mind about my honesty and integrity. Her latest attempt was to tell him that she is just sure that I have snooped around in his house to find out how much money he makes. This is so ridiculous until it’s laughable. He told me months ago what his income was so if I were low down enough to do something like that, it wasn’t necessary. He told her as much and he said," and by the way I know what her monthly income is so you don’t have to worry about her needing any money from me". I had thought she was giving me the cold shoulder because she felt like it was to soon for her Dad to see someone after her Mother’s death (it’s been 18 months now) but now I am convinced it’s about the money. She is so afraid that her money tree is going to dry up with me in the picture and she couldn’t be more wrong. Life could be so simple, if everyone would tend to their own business.

Logics, how fun to win something from the lottery.

Annex, I bet your home will be more beautifully landscaped with the new owners.

Glad to see both of you posting today. Everyone have a wonderful rest of the day.

Update

I finished knitting the belt!! Now I just have to find a suitable buckle. That can wait until the next time I go shopping.

Supper is in the oven and instead of doing potatoes I am cutting up a bunch of tomatoes, and cucumbers to go along. Hubby says he does not want coleslaw. I think I might just still put the corn on so that we get a bit of carbs....Hubby needs carbs big time.

Off to finish supper. Talk to you all later.

My Daughter had told me last night she didn’t think she could come today, but she surprised me this morning by coming. She took me to Walmart, I was able to walk there. She showed me the Guacamole she buys, I bought a package the box has 6 individual servings, perfect for someone who lives alone. While we were there we walked around the store. Somehow while I was in my apartment which has no stairs it says I climbed one flight of stairs there are no stairs in my apartment.

I also discovered that you can buy the clips to put on the plastic tube hangers. I bought a package. We will see if they work. I hang a hand towel on my shower rod to have a towel to dry my hands There is no place for a towel bar by the sink.

I also discovered a use for the little plastic springs designed to hold 2 needles together. I didn’t like the way they worked so I put them aside. They are perfect for keeping the clip from sliding. So they are now being used.

By the time I got home I no longer felt dizzy.

Penny

edited to correct typo
I find those single serve packages of Guacamole freeze very well. I will buy a huge pack at Costco, freeze them and pull out a couple at a time to defrost and use.

Good evening!!!

So my pool party is in 3 weeks, I'm in a small panic, I'm sure that everything will be ok, but I still have things to do.

Yesterday I realized that we don't have as many usable out door chairs as I thought, so I ordered some nice ($25.00 each) chairs, they will be here next week. We haven't had a pool party in years.

It's really all good, because it's encouraging me to do some more de-cluttering.
