Canadian Pharmacies shipping to the U.S.?
Re: Canadian Pharmacies shipping to the U.S.?
Drugs, even brand names, apparently are not manufactured in country. The recent valtorin scare is an example. A brand name manufactured in China. So India is probably another center of drug manufacturing for American/Canadian drugs. This would make profits even higher since those countries do not have good quality controls. Drug prices are obscene.

Legitimate Canadian pharmacies cannot fill prescriptions unless they are prescribed by a Canadian doctor. That being said, we have several drop in clinics frequented by Americans who are willing to pay $60.00 Can for a doctor's visit (this is the cost covered by Ontario Health Insurance Plan for Canadian citizens for free) to receive their prescription. Our city is within 40 miles of the U.S. border. This visit would not be covered by travel medical insurance since it is a pre-existing condition. The patient then gets their prescription filled (which in Ontario is for a maximum of 3 months) at a much lower cost.
All the mail order "pharmacies" are non regulated.

Forgot to say, American patients need to bring their medical history records as well as all their pre existing prescription medications before a doctor would be willing to write them out a prescription.
