I have always wanted a bench in our entry way (one of the projects for this year) so I can sit and put my shoes or boots on. Well we had an old coffee table (say 43 years old) that Hubby had made into a rather large crib board. I pulled it in the hall way, added a cushion from one of our outdoor chairs and I now have a bench. It is a bit wide, but will do nicely until and if Hubby makes me one.

I even have the fabric to make a lovely cushion for it.
Oh Jackie, I am LOVING this. I also want a bench for my entry way for the same reason so I will be on the lookout for something I can repurpose.
