Quilter, that is a very good idea, I think I will steal that one as well. I am going to start downsizing my "stuff" too. My kids don't want my junk and I have made the decision to get rid of it for them.

Re: Repurposing and Thinking More Creatively
I wish I was creative enough to do this. Unfortunately I'm not. But when you live in an apartment by yourself, carrying in heavy furniture isn't one's first choice. It's difficult enough just trying to climb stairs with 20 lbs of groceries.

I'm lucky in that if I wait long enough one of my sons will come over. Or I have cousins, a brother or nephews I can call to ask. I need to make sure there is nothing DS2 can do for me before I take him back to OSU on Sunday.LogicsHere wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 7:33 am I wish I was creative enough to do this. I need to do this as well. I am sure I could repurpose even more than I do. It seems like I never think to shop my own home first. Going to do that more this year.

Re: Repurposing and Thinking More Creatively
I did a bit of a repurpose late last night. I have always wanted a bench in our entry way (one of the projects for this year) so I can sit and put my shoes or boots on. Well we had an old coffee table (say 43 years old) that Hubby had made into a rather large crib board. I pulled it in the hall way, added a cushion from one of our outdoor chairs and I now have a bench. It is a bit wide, but will do nicely until and if Hubby makes me one.
I even have the fabric to make a lovely cushion for it.
