Good Morning Everyone,

32º here this morning, cloudy and rain is coming back in for the week-end. I guess I can thank the Lord that it isn't snowing. I like snow for a day or two, but nobody here can drive in it and it curtails most anything you want to do. So I will stop complaining about the rain.

Got Jackie and Penny in my prayers this morning and Janet you don't be walking to that mailbox and taking a chance on falling. I am terrified of falling and my junk mail could stay in that box for a week without me caring. My postman would probably be knocking on my door if I didn't pick it up, but he's a lot younger than I am.

My doctors appointment didn't go well, I've got blockage in my carotid arteries and he's sending me to a heart specialist to make sure my heart is in good shape and if so I will have surgery to clean them out. He says it's not worth waiting until you have a stroke and then it's to late. They did an echocardiogram on my neck and they are over 50% blocked. I have been feeling short of breath and this is the reason. Oh the trials of getting old. However, if we want to keep on kicking we have to have things corrected.

I have had breakfast, couple of eggs, toast and orange juice. I didn't sleep well, so I'm going back to bed as I did most all of my work last night.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Glad they will be able to get you feeling better Little Miss. Shouldn't be a difficutl procedure. Maybe one night in the hospital. That is all my sister had to spend there when she had her pacemaker.

Not that cold here but we do have damp drizzly weather. Will warm up but then get really cold this weekend. Even may freeze - yeah that is super cold for us!

Slept kind of okay and then started getting texts from former classmate. She keeps in touch with the catfish girl, but it appears catfish girl is not being as talkative.

Well the prior report had her departing (this time) to Virginia on Saturday, well now it is Tuesday. We shall see

And then former classmate who I will now call Bad MIL, is still spending time with her boyfriend that she complains about. I will call him the Slacker. One complaint is that all he does is watch TV. Hmmm - that is all she ever talks about - well movies. She quotes movies, relates to movies and wants us to sit around and watch movies. Very strange.

Oh another complaint I have that have not been able to preach about

There was a triple killing this last week in San Antonio - well more in the county - million dollar mansion. Anyway a mom and two daughters. ME says it was murder suicide but many want the rich boyfriend arrested.

The rational? She was too pretty to commit suicide. Really people - so now only unattractive people do that? Such shallowness - I just can't believe it.

Good morning all,

I am up and busy, cleaning up the messes that I can get to. Chickens are out, fresh water and feed. I need to make a trip to the farm store, will be needing feed and the weather report is saying get it now. Next week is looking sucky weather wise. I am already over winter.

Janet, can you call your county garage and let them know you have medical issues and get the drive cleaned? Or your trustee or council on aging? Don't take a chance on walking, it's too dangerous.

LittleMiss, the cleaning of your carotid arteries is inconvenient, but the difference it will make is amazing...

Hey troops -
Well we have freezing drizzle here today. I had a bone density test but I called and rescheduled. No way I am risking the road if I don't have to with ice. I can drive in snow - no one can drive on ice.

Prayers said for you Jackie. I know you must be on pins and needles. LM = sorry about the blockages but better they found them in time to have them fixed. A stroke is one of my biggest fears.

Didn't get my pot pie made as hubs was in the mood for sausage hash and eggs - so I will fix the pot pies today. I bought some small pie plates so I am curious how my pie crust will work up in those - i.e. how many I will get. I would love to batch cook some up and put in the freezer - but it is not something i have ever done. Also would like to have some frozen small pies for sweet tooth slaying without having a large dessert. We will see how it goes.

Well off to sort the mountain (and I do mean mountain) of laundry and get started on that. Nothing much else going on. I just keep thinking about those poor people who are being forced to work without pay - well actually all of them out of work. But isn't being forced to work without pay slavery? How can they justify this? I tell you - the day they quit paying me, see how long I would be at work.

Have a safe thrifty one! CG
