Good Morning Everyone. It is rainy here this morning. That suits me fine. I had my second covid vaccine yesterday and am feeling the side effects. When my daughter went to bed last night she said to call and wake her up if I need anything - and I said oh I think I'm going to get through this with no effects - WRONG! Woke up this morning to aching and chills and feeling like I didn't sleep at all.
That said, I have put the dogs out and fed the stray cats. Made coffee. I am heading back to bed soon to see if I can sleep some more. We are supposed to go to my brother's house at 3:00 to give his granddaughter an early birthday gift and play outside with her. I plan to still go - but won't do much playing and won't stay long.
I am not complaining (much, lol) -- I know these symptoms mean the vaccine is doing what it's supposed to do and I'm grateful for it.
My other plans for today are out the window - I was going to have my daughter help me clean the gutters - but I will putter around the house and get our cakes and muffins baked for cake pops.
I'm off to snuggle in bed with the dogs and hopefully fall asleep - it's staying nice and dark in here this morning with the rain. Happy Saturday!

Good morning beautiful people,
I slept well last night but my body is tired. Dh and I have really been pushing ourselves with the DIY and subsequent deep cleaning required. The rec room is almost back to normal. The glassware and shelves in the bar area have all been cleaned and everything is back into place. Dh was having some real back pain last night. He needs to let things rest or he could be in big trouble with golf season quickly approaching.
I think we have made a decision on who to install the air conditioning unit and will go with the same company that installed our furnace. Dh really liked the two workmen who came for the furnace and he has the same two employees. The owner is quite blunt and not exactly friendly but will deal and follow up with any concerns, even though he’s rather crass. We like his product and price. And the workmen gave Dh a lot of pointers on maintenance. It can be tiring even weighing the options.
My bread maker is scheduled to arrive a day early. I am excited! This morning I have checked my emails, started a load of laundry and vacuumed the bath mats I washed and hung to dry yesterday. I read another two chapters of my book aw well! I didn’t make much progress on the taxes. It’s a bit hard to be motivated when you know you have to pay. We have until the end of April so it’s not exactly time sensitive.
Today I will probably go for a walk. My Walmart pickup order is finalized and our slot time is tomorrow afternoon.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning fellow frugalites,
Once again it is below freezing, and when opening the drapes (because the sun is shining) notices some odd white drifts on the ground. We have what Hubby would call a skiff of snow. Hopefully that is all the snow we get.
Called and talked to youngest DS last night. He does not sound terrible, but doesn't sound good either. Stuffed up, coughing, and tired he tells me. He will be tested at some point today. Hopefully not after a 4 hour wait as has been happening.
Yesterday I found myself unable to concentrate after being told his news. I flitted from one thing to another. Mind you masks were done on a couple of flits (just needed the elastic), and the bunting was completed as well. After that it was read a bit, knit a bit, wonder around the house a bit. Almost like I just didn't know what to do with myself.
Today I plan on giving the walls around the tub a bit of a clean. I won't stretch and I definitely won't do anything if I feel the least little twinge of pain. Also will be doing my morning walk, and perhaps an afternoon one as well. I know I did not meet the goal yesterday that my watch sets for me and I do try to do that every day.
Then there is a pattern for a top I cut out before surgery and I may just get that started today as well. I actually have two patterns cut out and perhaps those should be my project over the next few days. I also could and probably will start another quilt, but I am thinking that a couple of runners might be nice for use across the top of the electric fireplace. I am sure I can find enough to do for the next little while. I am pretty sure we will be heading into a stricter lockdown here, just not sure when it will start.
Supper tonight is going to be a new recipe using the IP. I really don't use that appliance as much as I should. This recipe is a kind of lasagna type thing, only it looks more like a hamburger helper lasagna.
Today I am grateful for shawls to wrap up in and keep the chill away.
Everybody have a great day. Take care.

Good morning everyone. It is a bit chilly (47 F) but the sun is up bright and shining. The temp is suppose to go up to around (78 F) however that will be bringing in storms this afternoon. They are level 2 storms so I might have to give Teddi an anti-anxiety pill. The last few days of storms were level one and I had some trouble trying to keep him calm. Right now I am too tired to have to deal with him freaking out more than that.
I have been awake since 2:30 AM but refused to get up until 3:30 AM. Have been doing my usual morning routine on my computer and watched a little bit of TV. Not sure what else I will be doing other than cooking. I had plans to go in to town today to pick up some medication and gas up my car but forgot it is Saturday and town will be super busy with it being a week-end. So will go tomorrow when things are more calm.
Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning friends.
Shelia, your reaction to the second Covid vaccine sounds very much like my reaction. At first I thought I was OK but I was super tired and had chills the whole next day. Take it easy.
Jackie, I sure hope that your son doesn’t have Covid and I hope that he feels better soon.
Janet, I’m glad that Teddi is eating his new Rx food and I hope it continues.
I just finished watching the men’s figure skating and enjoyed it. I don’t know who does the commentary on Peacock but he has a British accent and is good.
Today I’ll do a bit of cleaning. Although I’ve already vacuumed in the area where the a/c guys were working, I need to give everything a thorough vacuum, especially the stairs. Also I need to dust and do laundry.
Other than that I’ll read. So many days I seem to sleep OK but my eyes are so tired. At least right now they feel OK.
It is very warm here, mid-80s, but we are expected to get a break in the weather next week. It’s too early to be this hot.
Have a good day.

Good morning all,
I am up and slowly drinking coffee, my stomach issues are much better but not completely gone. It is a slow process getting healed completely.
I have laundry going, will be hung on outdoor lines as it is bright and sunny.
My dog barfed earlier this AM....I think it is because I made him beef and rice instead of chicken/turkey and rice. Beef is harder to digest....I have chicken and rice going for him now....I thought I would give him some variety but looks like that will not work. No big deal, I just want him comfortable and happy.
Hot dog roast this afternoon/early evening in the campground!!!! First one of the year that all are invited too. I will be taking my own food, but will be unobtrusive as possible. No one will even notice.
I am thawing a chicken for tomorrow, I am going to marinate it overnight and then roast it tomorrow....although I may just put it on the rotisserie of the air fryer . It will be a "chicken week" for sure
Running the robo-vac right now, yesterday I used the vacuum and then the floor cleaner so floors are in decent shape for awhile, I need to deep clean the bathroom and run the swiffer on tabletops.
Found my strawberry printed tablecloth yesterday and even though it is probably too early I am going to put it on the table in the dining area. It makes me happy!
I have so many flowers coming up, some seem early to me, delphiniums and foxglove???? I hope they don't get frosted and ruined. I haven't even renewed the mulch around them yet....daffodils are just starting to bloom. No tulip activity I hope they weren't eaten by the ground squirrels.
Off to get started...again.
