Hi Floridacatlover - yes a province wide lockdown is being imposed effective Saturday. It changes very little here as schools are all already remote learning only. No gymsfloridacatlover wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 11:32 am Creative, I read that Ontario is going into a new lockdown but nothing will change for your area plus Toronto, Hamilton and a few others since you are already in lockdown. They said non-essential stores would be open 25% but I though your non-essential stores were totally closed.
The Toronto Blue Jays are unable to play baseball (for now) because of the border closing. So they are playing their regular season games at their spring training center which is in my county. It is a very small stadium and then with social distancing they are allowing about 1,250 fans. The small town, Dunedin, is thrilled to have a major league team! Strange times.
,movie theatres, indoor or patio dining, hairdresser, barbers, tattoo artists, esthetician services, etc. Groups are limited to 5. Receptions not allowed for weddings or funerals. Non essential stores such as clothing and hardware are allowed to be open at 25% capacity. This is in response to the third wave of the virus, with increased cases of the variant. Yet vaccines are still not being administered to those 75 to 80, and frontline healthcare workers are still being vaccinated ( with their first vaccine). Apparently in a few weeks time, Shoppers Drug Mart will be administering the Astra Zeneca vaccine to people 55 plus, but you must make an appointment and there is a medical questionnaire you must fill out. The order is based on age, underlying health conditions, etc. Personally I would prefer Pfizer or Moderna. The risk of blood clots scares me.

Re: Thursday April 1. Check in
Bonne apres midi toute le monde!
I am just hanging out. I got a few bills paid by etransfer. I wrote out a year's worth of rental checks and got them to the caretaker. The rent went up by $12/month. I have to readjust the budget as disability is not increased per inflation. I guess they just expect you to take it out of your food as our province is the one who sets the rental increase rates, they know that we will have a housing cost increase. It's a weird system.
Speaking of their weird system, I have to write a small "commentary" for the disability office about my disability and also have my doctor fill out a form. I hope to get that done this weekend. I have to talk myself into being able to face that down.
I took out a package of something given to me by Zoe and John yesterday to thaw out. I think it is deer sausage so I will be having some of that tonight. I just went to the freezer (things freeze SO much harder in there than my refrigerator's freezer) and took out the chicken John and Zoe gave me for my birthday. I am going to put it in the crock pot on Sunday for my Easter supper.
I'll be doing some clean-up in the kitchen this afternoon. I vacuumed the living room this morning. Things have been done around here!
That's the skinny!

Since it is payday - - I went ahead and splurged on some local barbecue.
Brisket, sausage and chicken with 3 sides. Family meal for 30 bucks. Not bad.
And it was delicious!!!!

Your neighbors are wonderful people!alliesmama4 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:28 pm Florida cat my neighbors are amazing. Years ago my brother was thrown from his horse. This man called me to tell my brother that he had fed the horses, cattle, cats, and dogs. He did this for months without being asked. Also my brother had 60 acres that needed to be cut routinely and he did that as well. He would not take a dime. When my SIL was on bedrest for 6 weeks due to surgery his wife would bring hot meals 3 times a week with enough leftover for lunches.. They are the best.
