I tried using boiling water on weeds in the cracks on the driveway (resealing the drive is on my to-do list this summer). It worked beautifully.

I do the hot water and vinegar solution for weeds as well. I used the water from the coffee maker when I clean them, once a month.

I find myself using more and more white vinegar. need to get bigger containers! I diy floor cleaner, hot water, vinegar and a splash of dish soap. cj

20. Use a clean plastic milk jug to make a slow watering device for container plants. Fill with water, put the cap on, poke a tiny hole in the bottom and sit it in the container.

21. Craziest frugal fix ever: I accidentally broke one of those tubular white plastic hangers. We are currently low on hangers and I actually needed that one, so I used a milkshake straw and some Scotch tape to put the hanger back together. It won't hold a pair of slacks, but is strong enough to hang up a lightweight blouse.

I never thought to use the hot vinegar solution from the coffee maker for a weed killer. Thanks Blonde.
