Frying a Turkey

Post by delighted99 »

We're frying our turkey this year for the very first time. DH has been hearing his coworkers speak so highly of it that he felt he had to try it! Does anyone here prefer this method? We will be doing the frying outdoors.

How did your turkey turn out?

We had a priest here who always deep fried the turkey, he swore this was the best way to make one.

We've been wanting to do a turkey like this for so long now, but haven't yet looked for a proper sized pot large enough to take on the job, however, dear husband and I agree that it absolutely needs to be done outside.

It was delicious. My husband and SIL used a lot of cajun seasoning on it and it was very, very flavorful.
