That is the amount of the rent. Or do you mean where does that money come from? His job - didn't say what he did. It is expensive to live in DC.icfrugal1 wrote: ↑Wed May 09, 2018 11:17 pm https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... 7cfe9f9d0e

We are living in a changing world and paying $2,775 in rent in New York is probably considered a steal. Their cost of living is so high and I read somewhere that the average young executive's salary is around $62,000-$65,000. I personally knew a young woman who worked for Coca Cola as an account executive and she was making $100,000 a year. Sounds like a good salary, but she could barely survive on it. She gladly took a transfer to San Francisco when it was offered to her. That means that half of their salary is spent in rent, don't know if she was really any better off in San Francisco rent-wise.icfrugal1 wrote: ↑Wed May 09, 2018 11:17 pm https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... 7cfe9f9d0e

I love New York to visit, but honestly I can't imagine living there. There is something about garbage being piled into the front of all those business's and homes that turns me off completely. I love to people watch and spent some time just sitting in a sidewalk cafe and watched them running almost to their destinations. I would have loved to have known where they were going in such a hurry. A total different lifestyle from anywhere I have ever observed.
