Recall: Salads, wraps

Post by LWolfT »

On Monday, a public health alert issued by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service advised certain beef, pork and poultry salad and wrap products might be contaminated with cyclospora. The products were sold by grocery stores including Kroger, Trader Joe's and Walgreens.

I'm not too clear on what products they are referring to here as there's not even a mention of a brand. Are these simply salads and wraps prepared and sold in those stores?

I think these were pre-made, but I suspect they may have a store label on them. Found a PDF with products/UPC numbers.

Thanks for sharing that link. Slightly related..I was reading how when you buy pre-cut fruit at the store it increases your food-borne illness risk. More hands went into preparing it.. never gave it much thought before.
