Good morning fellow frugalites,

Pill taking day so no coffee for awhile. Please excuse any typing errors or spelling mistakes.

Hubby misunderstood youngest DS, he thought DS was coming home last night but he has to work today so will be coming home tonight. The picture Hubby wants has been sold at the one store so DS is going to check out a couple of the other branches in the city. Hopefully he can find it.

I have decided that if the pots and pans that I like are on sale and available I will buy them. My old ones are still nice enough that I can put them together and donate them. I am sure someone would love some new to them pots and pans.

Frugally speaking it will be my regular Friday chore list, doing my daily exercises (inside on the treadmill), and working on my various projects. Hubby is working on making a small cupboard above the fridge downstairs using the leftover lumber from other projects.

I am also hoping to do a bit of baking, perhaps a cake and some mini donuts. I guess I should have a couple of treats to share with DS when he comes home, and after two weeks of really watching what I eat a little treat will do me no harm.

There is lots of mindless cleaning to accomplish as well. If I need to get my mind off of anything I will finish the declutter of my closet and move on to the next area of cleaning, the light fixtures (though I do need Hubby to take them down for me).

I started youngest DS's rug late yesterday afternoon. Once that is finished all Christmas gifts will be made and I can relax a little bit. The rug is moving along quickly so I should be finished it in a week or two. I am thinking a 3X5 foot rug will be perfect. I will just keep knitting until I run out of yarn.

Working on watching those old Criminal Mind episodes as well. I have now watched 4 complete seasons and am about half way through the 5th.

I am hoping for a letter from the specialist today, but I realize snail mail sometimes takes a bit of time. No letter today means we can get the vehicle in to have it's oil changed either tomorrow or Monday.

Supper tonight will be the leftovers from last night. I may have to make a bit more rice. This way DS can clean it all up when he gets home for his late supper.

Today I am grateful for my nice warm house when it is frosty cold outside.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

I put out the trash this morning.

Last night I was in a lot of pain. I used ice packs and it eased after a while. I am sure it was related to the change in the weather. It rained overnight there is still some rain in the city.

My next scheduled reg Dr appointment is in May of next year.

I have to wait until Monday to call and make an appointment with the hand specialist. I will know more then.

Hello all,

I'm subbing again today, the 5th in a row. This teacher has 1st hour prep and I'm sitting here trying not to fall asleep (or maybe I should allow myself a short nap?) I also Sub every day next week of school M-Th, no school Friday as it's end of Trimester. Then I sub the following Tuesday (and am praying for a last-minute fill-in job for Monday Nov 19th), then school is out 3 days for Thanksgiving break, then I sub the following 2 days for a teacher at High school. IF I got a job on that Monday, then I'd have my 10+ days in a row and get paid at the higher rate... but maybe I just need to enjoy the extra break from crazy students too. ;)

I slept badly last night... this time change is wrecking havoc on my already poor sleep habits; but I'm grateful for having been able to attend my Self-reliance class at church last night -- those people have become some of my dearest friends because we've shared sooo much with each other, and I often find myself praying for them.

Dd5 had 2 meltdowns this morning, one each for hair bows & clothes. *sighs* That adds more to my exhausted feeling (I may run out to my car & get a caffeine tablet just to be awake enough to get to 2nd hour... once kids are in class, then my adrenaline ratchets up enough to wake me up). Ds16 also overslept and was late to his early morning wrestling practice, at least we didn't have to listen to his grumbles for long.

It was 15*F when I got home from taking ds16 to high school... BRRR!

Am not sure what dinner will be... dh will likely want to go out tonight, but I may tell him not tonight (or maybe I'll say yes so i can relax tomorrw?).

Am off to eat my makeshift egg sandwich & apple breakfast.

Today I'm thankful for this teacher having 1st hour prep.

Good Morning,

It is Chilly here. I may need to get some socks on my feet.

Funny to run into my cousin at the Church last night. He is taking RCIA classes to become Catholic. His Mom is not Catholic and his Dad is not practicing, but he's been to more Catholic services than the Presbyterian he was Baptized as. his Fiance is Catholic. I actually felt a bit awkward saying I was there for a "surviving Divorce" class. But hey...

Have a great day,
Maggie

Jackie,
Would you mind explaining how you are making your son's rug? Or do you have a link of a similar pattern you could share please? I need use-it-up ideas for my yarn, and we definitely could use rugs at my house too. ;)
