January 2019 No Spend/Low Spend

Post by Jackielou »

I thought I may as well do this again this year. It seems appropriate as our investments took a significant hit over the last year. The stock market volubility did not help things at all. Having as many no spend days as possible will really help this month and all upcoming months as well.

Spending: 0

Low Spend: 0

No Spend: 2

Allowable: 0

Counting today as a no spend.

Thank you for posting this Jackie, I hope it will help me stay more on track throughout the year.

Yesterday was a $10 spend for gasoline for my car.

Today is NO spend. I am hoping the whole rest of the week will be no-spend until Friday when I have to pay a bill and Saturday when I have to pay $5.00 to get my beagle/basset's nails cut.

All allowable spending for me so far. The $8+ I spent on a "welcome back" gift for my coworker was NOT necessary spending but I am allowing it. It feels good to give and this sweet lady would do the same for me (not that it matters but makes me want to give all the more).

$4 on having Lucy's nails clipped this morning - money well spent, I never want to do that myself. Other spending has been pet food - necessary and allowable.

I'm going to attemp to join in this, although I am working on my budget. I have joined/started a girls day out group and a gals of certain age group so I have regular entertainment spending every week, plus that lost weight is a double sword thing, but I will try and work on that, lol.
